Dianne Gibson

Hi, I’m Dianne Gibson, a juried acrylic artist who has been painting since 2001.  I love to teach beginners because I always enjoy seeing the look on their face when they see what they can accomplish with patient instruction.  I have a business, Painting 4 Fun, located inside the WHAM Art Center where I teach acrylic painting and Alcohol Ink classes to people of all ages starting at age 6.

I have had a one woman show in Wickenburg, AZ and have displayed paintings in banks, businesses, libraries and a city hall.  I teach individual and group lessons and have taught classes at art centers, parks and at Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

I started painting because I had a constant yearning to learn how to paint, was very timid when I began and found that I love creativity of various forms. As I continued to paint, it brought out a confidence in me that I didn’t know I had which lead to the wonderful experience of teaching group painting classes and parties.   I enjoy constantly improving my skills by taking various workshops from different artists which has lead to not only acrylics and alcohol ink but also watercolor, drawing and mixed media in the form of landscapes, abstracts and portraits.
