I know that the backbone of every strong community is entrepreneurship, so my goal is to help out as many businesses as possible along their journey to success.

Please watch this video I created in order to better highlight the importance of telling our story in regards to building a strong following.

"How to Tell Your Story"

Clayton Jensen believes strongly that because he doesn’t know how many days he has he wants to use each one of them to help make this world a better place. The best way he knows how to do that is to share his story. Clayton is a videographer and a content creator who loves sharing all the good that we have around us. Telling our story is not about us, it’s about the positive impact we can make on the lives of others by showing ourselves, vulnerably, to all those around us. He writes a daily blog and here is one of his short posts that he feels really embodies how important it is that we share knowledge with everyone we come in contact.

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you." - Maya Angelou

No matter who you are, no matter where you are born, no matter what you do for a living, you have story worth telling.

Since the beginning of time, it is through stories that we have been able to pass down information from one generation to the next.

Stories allow for us to get across a message in a way that holds people's attention, in a way that makes others want to listen.

No matter what story we are trying to tell we need to get across three main ideas: what, so what, and what now.

We must explain what or who we are talking about, why this important to us, and what we can and should do with this new information.

It is through telling stories that we provide the tools needed to understand that positive change is possible.

It is just as important the story that you have inside you as it is letting it out for others to see.

Never think that your story is too mundane, that there is nothing for others to gain from hearing it. Our lives are not for us, we exist so that others can learn from who we are and what we do with the days we are given.

It is then our duty to tell others what we know, to share our story for those around us. And in doing so, without even noticing it, we are building our personal brands.

Your resume is no longer bound by the four edges of a piece of paper, it is encompassed by all that you do. You need to tell your story by creating content, by showing others what you believe in.

No matter what you are creating, people want to go along for the ride with you; they want to know why you do what you do.

The best ways to do this is by writing it down and by creating video content that allows others to feel as though they are there with you.

When we share our stories, we have an unlimited amount of content that others can learn from. The worst thing that we can do is to hold our story in, is to not let it be free, to not let it be heard.

What story are you telling every day? Are you proud of it? Is it something you want others to see? If not, then a change must occur.

Telling our story is not about us, not about what we gain from the accolade, it's about allowing people to learn something deeper about themselves. So stop holding it in, set your story free.
